Statement From Italy Councilmember Billy Long
Italy Councilmember Billy Long issued a public statement on water infrastructure, road conditions, and public safety, calling for real fixes instead of temporary patches.
Italy Councilmember Billy Long asked Watchtower to publish the following statement to residents of Italy.
I'm issuing this statement because people in our town deserve straight answers and real accountability.
Water reliability, road conditions, and public safety are not meeting expectations, and residents are right to be frustrated. These are basic responsibilities of local government, and too many people feel like progress has been too slow and too inconsistent for too long.
I am pushing for real fixes on water infrastructure, not temporary patches. I am pushing for a more serious, long-term approach to road repairs that actually holds up. On public safety, I am increasing focus on coordination with law enforcement to address concerns that are showing up in everyday life.
The message from me is simple. The era of excuses is over. People don't want explanations. They want results they can see.
I will continue pushing for that standard until it happens.
